Crossing New Zealand east-west from Christchurch, I drove through the well known Arthur’s Pass road. It is famous because of the landscapes, the engineering that went into some parts of th road as well for being the access to many walks.

Auckland is hilly and they have been transforming the waterfront into a pedestrian friendly stroll area. There are also numerous beaches and islands around for hiking (bushwalking) and sun bathing. I also visited th maritime museum with a exhibition about the America Cup… surprinsingly they didn’t say much about the time Alinghi won the Cup…
